Sports Tourism Committee ordinance

The founder of the CityStars youth program said the ordinance was written without Parks and Rec input and is weighted toward government officials rather than parents and schools, and asked the council to reconsider before voting.

A Parks and Recreation Planning Advisory Committee member said the ordinance conflicts with the 1995 ordinance creating his committee, looks like a 'hostile takeover,' and asked the council to table it for a joint meeting — or vote it down.
